The Rhode Island Philharmonic Orchestra will perform at Roger Williams Park on July 31st, 2024, for its annual Summer Pops concert. The free concert will take place at the Temple to Music in Roger Williams Park. It will begin at 7:30 p.m. and last 90 minutes.
The 66-piece orchestra will be conducted by Troy Quinn and will play selections by famous composers who grew up in Rhode Island including Peter Boyer, Bill Conti and George M. Cohan. The concert program also includes compositions from Seth MacFarlane’s Rhode Island inspired Family Guy series and traditional summer pops fare from John Williams and others. This year’s concert series is titled “Our State: A RI Celebration.”
In addition to the concert, there will be a number of food trucks parked on-site at the Temple to Music serving local, regional and global cuisine. The Rhode Island Foundation will also be presenting three of its most prestigious annual awards on the stage of the Temple to Music during intermission. The awards are The Community Leadership Award — Amos House, The Civic Leadership Award — Mrs. Victoria Johnson and The Trailblazer Award — Dr. Eugenio Fernandez, Asthenis Pharmacy.
Free parking will be available throughout Roger Williams Park. This event is rain or sign and will take place on Wednesday, July 31st, 2024 at the Temple to Music in Roger Williams Park.
