EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — East Providence Police have identified the three suspects arrested after at attempted armed robbery in East Providence on Tuesday.
38-year-old Abel Nolasco, 34-year-old David Ramos, and 28-year-old Alex Manuel Jesus Marte were arrested yesterday after they allegedly tried to rob an individual at gunpoint.
According to officials, all three individuals are being held on ICE detainers due to illegal reentry into the United States.
It happened at 9 a.m. when an individual approached an officer working a traffic detail in the vicinity of James Street and gave a description of the suspects and the vehicle they were in.
According to a release, several officers and detectives responded to the area and located a red Honda CRV that had crashed at the intersection of James Street and Blanding Avenue.
Neighbors confirmed with police that they did hear gunfire and directed officers to an area where the three suspects fled on foot.
Officers located the three suspects hiding behind the skate ramp at the Central Avenue playground.
All three were taken into custody without incident.
A loaded firearm was also located in the immediate area.
All three were positively identified by the victim and brought to the police station to be processed.

2. Conspiracy
3. License Required to Carry a Firearm
4. Discharging a Firearm While Committing a Crime
5. Discharging a Firearm from a Motor Vehicle
6. Possession of Large Capacity Feeding Device
7. Receiving Stolen Goods
8. Firing in a Compact Area
9. Disorderly Conduct
