Job description: Position:Project QA/QC Lead.Must be US Citizen or Green Card Holder.Will consider candidates from anywhere in US. but must be willing to relocate to Rhode Island. Schedule is Mon-Fri work week with some Overtime when needed.Department:SHEQ department.Short description of function:The QA/QC Lead is responsible for managing the quality department in the day-to-day business. This includes development, maintenance, and improvement of the integrated project quality management system, in line with internal, client, legal and certification requirements. This goes hand in hand with continuous improvement of our standards and processes in order to achieve operational excellence.Reporting to:
- Project SHEQ-manager
Managing the positions:
- Onshore QC Inspector
- Offshore QC Inspector
Key responsibilities:
- The QA/QC Manager develops, oversees, and coordinates the planning, implementation and supervision of the QA/QC activities.
- Develop extensive working relationships with customers both internal and external, subcontractors and suppliers in order to maximize the opportunities for the project and ensure that the customer needs are addressed.
- Monitoring and safeguarding, either independently or by directing a team of QC Inspectors to ensure compliance with the quality requirements, and identifying bottlenecks in the installation process.
- Assist in development and management of project execution strategies to include determination of QA/QC task components for successful project execution.
- Advise the organization in selecting quality control in specified stages in project performance.
- Proactively assist the SHEQ Manager with scheduling, performing, and analyzing internal and external audits to verify compliance with the management system and applicable codes and standards.
- Initiate, recommend follow up and close-out any non-conformance, corrective actions and or preventive actions.
- Indicates areas of concern, training requirements and equipment improvement.
- Analyses the nature and cause of errors to identify areas needing improvement in the processes and systems.
- Lead any other department related tasks when required by management.
- Focal point for the quality related items of all incoming tenders and ensures adequate follow-up.

Qualifications:
- BSc level of education.
- Certified Lead auditor.
- Minimum of 5 years of expertise Quality Management in large scale/complex projects and working with Certifying Authorities Knowledge and experience of fabrication practices and processes.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent computer skills. (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Good command of verbal and written English.

Working conditions:The workplace is the office in Providence RI. Traveling abroad or to the vessels is done occasionally.
